Vocab Express
Congratulations to the Eastbourne College top performers in the recent Vocab Express Challenge, where pupils pitted their vocabulary learning skills with those of pupils from schools around the globe.
After a tense battle for the top positions, the College finished with a world ranking of 13th place in the French Medio competition, and just outside the top 20 overall for all languages. Pupils notched up an amazing 91,480 points in total.
Eastbourne College top five performers were:
Rory Pickard (Year 11, Wargrave) with 3,390 points
Indy Wood (Year 11, Watt) with 2,730 points
Harriet Dipper (Year 11, Blackwater) with 2,415 points
Will Jeffrey (Year 10, Powell) with 2,175 points
Elizabeth Gower (Year 12, Blackwater), with 2,055 points.
Genius Certificates were awarded to the top 25 performers.
Well done to all pupils who participated.
