Top 5% in the UK
Congratulations to the Eastbourne College pupils who took part in the 2017 UK Linguistics Olympiad, which requires candidates to solve demanding linguistic data problems.
The top scorer at the College, Bill Cao achieved Gold at Advanced Level, which puts him in the top 5% of competitors across the country.
Bill is pictured here with his certificate. Other competitors were Sollomon Andal, Elizabeth Gower, George Ruskin and Louis Wilson.
