The New Weekend at Eastbourne College
Refreshed, Recharged, Ready
From September, Eastbourne College will introduce a brand new seven-day timetable that makes the most of our ‘Blue Health’ outlook. Our whole-of-learning approach ensures a healthy balance of academic, co-curricular and sociocultural opportunities for the school community.
The co-curricular programme is designed to be fun, friendly and flexible so that it fits around the demands of modern day living.
Eastbourne College pupils often comment that they never have to compromise on academic learning for co-curricular interests; they can do it all and have time for socialising. The weekdays are packed full of structured learning opportunities and the weekend offers a chance to refresh, recharge and be ready for the week ahead.
Outside of sports fixture commitments, the new style weekends allow for extra academic enrichment and co-curricular experiences for pupils in a relaxed yet structured format.
The new shape to the week has enabled the College to increase the seven-day provision of academic and co-curricular activities so that pupils can choose from a healthy menu, blending their choices with time to relax and time to enjoy the company of family and friends.
We hope you enjoy this short film about our new weekends and look forward to welcoming you to our shores in the coming months.
