Tennis finals
The Eastbourne College mixed doubles tennis team played in the LTA Senior Schools National Finals at the Bolton Arena on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March.
They began well on Saturday evening beating last year's champions, Strathallan School from Perthshire. The first pair lost their initial match but the second pair rallied, winning both sets to make it 2–2. Eastbourne then won the shoot-out tie break 10–3 for a great start to the finals.
In the second match on Sunday, the Eastbourne team found themselves once again tied with their oponents, Sevenoaks School. However, this time Eastbourne sadly lost the shoot-out tie break 7–10.
Eastbourne finished in an impressive third place in the group and were placed fifth in the country in this competition. A superb effort.
