Summer water sports trip to Greece
During the summer holidays a group of 11 pupils participated in a water sports trip to Vassiliki, Greece. Pupils were involved in a range of activities including; kayaking, sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, water polo and windsurfing. The week ended with an exciting sailing regatta, which everyone participated in.
Levels of experience were varied; all pupils from beginners to more advanced successfully gained a new Royal Yachting Association accredited level. This qualification may be used as a stepping stone to become a water sports instructor in the future. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were fantastic ambassadors for the College. They were commended for how courteous and polite they were throughout. Evenings were spent sampling local cuisine in the nearby fishing village and enjoying entertainment provided by the hotel.
