Simon Green Cup Summer term 2019
The Simon Green Cup for Endeavour is awarded for endeavour in games though consistent commitment, effort and perseverance over the last term.
The Second Master said:
Tawanda Muyeye is the epitome of hard work, effort, humility and kindness. The qualities of endeavour have helped him in breaking two long standing school records; the first pupil ever in 150 years of cricket to score two double hundreds, his second being scored this year, and the all-time run scoring record in one season. He is deservedly one of the two recipients of the award this term.
The other is Honey Curtis. Honey has been dedicated to the athletics programme since joining the school in year 9. She has competed for the College in every year group from juniors to seniors, achieving competitive times in the 800m and maintaining a winning streak in the Sussex Schools Diamond League, the Sussex Championships and friendly fixtures. This year she has captained the team that have gone on to forge a successful 2019 season with multiple medals in the Diamond League and Sussex Championships. Honey has been a role model to all athletes and her peers look up to her. Through her honesty, leadership, enthusiasm, commitment and endeavour. She too deserves to be the recipient of this terms Simon Green Cup. Please join me in congratulating both Tawanda and Honey as they come forward to receive the Cup.
