Sian Sulke Recital
On 5 March, Upper Sixth pupil and singer Sian Sulke delighted an audience of pupils, staff, friends and members of the public with a concert in the Birley Centre, in preparation for her forthcoming ARSM Diploma.
Sian’s singing took the audience on a chronological journey from the Baroque Period, including pieces by Bach and Handel, through to Ivor Gurney’s Sleep and two songs by Thea Musgrave (b.1928). There certainly was something for all tastes. Sian is an Upper Sixth Music Scholar who has been awarded a Choral Scholarship to St Peter’s, Oxford to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics next year.
