Shakespeare’s Globe visit
On Friday 6 June, a group of twelve Year 9 and 10 Eastbourne College pupils visited Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to watch a production of ‘Anthony and Cleopatra’. They were part of a group of seven schools from Eastbourne.
This was part of the ESSF programme which takes place every year in the summer term. The aim is to bring together the schools of Eastbourne, both maintained and independent, in a celebration of Shakespeare’s plays as performed at the Globe Theatre. Each school also prepares its own short interpretation of the play to perform to each other and to parents at a showcase in the Birley Centre.
