Shakespeare Schools Festival
Seven of our 10 GCSE Drama pupils recently performed Macbeth in the Shakespeare Schools Festival in Brighton. The event is celebrated annually and it is the world’s largest youth drama festival. Through performing, participants are able to develop self-esteem, articulacy, literacy and teamwork skills.
The cast worked very hard on this abridged version and were given the appraisal of “An outstanding performance, very thoughtful and an impressive group of actors”.
The cast enjoyed the rehearsal process and exceeded expectations of both the Drama department at Eastbourne College and also the festival organisers.
