Rambert Dance Company at Eastbourne College
Following the success of last year’s visit, the Rambert Dance Company returned to the Birley Centre in late-November for their second three day residency. They worked with 30 young dancers aged 14 to 17 from both the College and other local senior schools – Ratton, Cavendish, Causeway and Bishop Bell. The workshop culminated in the production of an exciting new piece of choreography based on ‘Labyrinth of Love’,a newly created piece from their current repertoire.
In addition to the workshop for young dancers, there was also a professional development session for local dance teachers on the first morning of the residency and Lindy Dunbar, an exciting figurative artist, was in residence for the three days capturing the movement of the dancers throughout the workshops.
