Pupils flying high
Will Dickens, Year 13 Craig, has successfully completed the Royal Navy Special Flying Award at RNAS Yeovilton. The first week of the course focused on basic flying and the second featured advanced flying skills including aerobatics and formation flying.
George Hayward, who left the College in the June following A levels, completed his RAF Gliding Scholarship course during the summer holidays. He enjoyed a full week of learning to glide, culminating in a solo flight and the awarding of his solo wings.
The Eastbourne College CCF RAF section have recently been gliding at RAF Kenley where each participant completed three winch launches.
