Prep Schools’ Strings Day
On Thursday 25 April over 50 young musicians from six local prep schools gathered at Eastbourne College to take part in the annual Strings Day.
The day commenced with a series of small group workshops and culminated in a performance for visiting parents and staff in the Jennifer Winn Auditorium of the Birley Centre. Pupils from Year 3 to Year 8 were welcomed to the College and everyone had the opportunity to play in the final concert.
In addition to the very valuable musical experience, the visiting pupils also had the opportunity to try a range of other activities during their lunch break. These included drama, design and technology, dodge-ball and cookery.
