Pre-season hockey
The hockey season is off to a superb start- 49 girls (including several new Year 9 pupils) recently attended a five-day training camp in Holland. The girls trained for five hours every day and played the host club, MHC Bommelerwaard in evening training matches. The U14s gave an excellent performance winning all their matches. The U18s and U16s both played well with each team winning one match out of two.
The club were most accommodating and generous hosts and the girls enjoyed the use of three pitches and a modern clubhouse. Members of the club’s management, coaches and parents commented on how friendly and polite the girls were, both on and off the pitch. A thoroughly successful trip which has kick started the season very positively.
