Photography competition 2017
As part of the College’s 150th anniversary celebrations, the photography department led a competition entitled ‘The spirit of the south-east of England’.
With the invention of photography and the establishment of Eastbourne College occuring in the same century, the Eastbourne College community came together to capture and celebrate the 150th anniversary with images that reflect the spirit of the south-east of England.
There were six competition categories – one for each of the College year groups and an adult category for staff, parents, OEs and friends of the College. A total of 77 entries were received and a shortlist was chosen by the judging panel to be displayed on the walls of the Warren atrium in the new Nugee Building.
The overall winner was Year 10 pupil and art scholar, Sasha Marlow.
