Oxford introduction
Over the weekend of 27-28 February, 31 Year 11 and 12 pupils enjoyed a trip to to the University of Oxford.
Highlights included visits to the departments of material sciences and chemistry, a visit to the Bodleian Library, tours of St John’s College and Oriel College and a meeting with an admissions tutor.
The trip participants also enjoyed meals in two different college halls, museum visits and a play at the Oxford Playhouse. They also found time to meet up with some Old Eastbournians currently studying at Oxford.
The pupils left the city with a strong feel for life at the University of Oxford, inspired by the surroundings, and better informed about their own personal preparation for a potential application.
