Mystyical gargoyles!
On Thursday 6 March 18 young artists from four different prep schools enjoyed an afternoon of ceramics at Eastbourne College. The participating schools were Cumnor House, Marlborough House, St Andrew’s Prep and Vinehall.
The Year 6 and Year 7 pupils spent two hours in the College’s ceramics studio working on their mystical gargoyles and produced some truly impressive beasts. Once their creations have been glazed and fired Mrs Jayne Harriott, Head of Art at the College, will deliver them to the prep schools.
As an extra treat, the pupils also took part in a music composition workshop with Mr Nick Parrans-Smith, Director of Music at Eastbourne College. They thoroughly enjoyed a 60-minute session in one of the Birley Centre’s music technology suites. Their task was to compose a short piece of original music to accompany a film clip.
