Hockey trip to Holland
During the latter half of the summer holidays, 35 girls visited the Brommelward Hockey Club in the Netherlands for pre-season training and some friendly matches.
They were accompanied by a number of College staff and three Old Eastbournians: Jonty Rider, Adam Flett and Matt Narracott.
Everyone enjoyed the training sessions and the highlight of the trip was a match between the College and Brommelward’s 1st XI. Both teams played superbly and the final result was a narrow 2–1 victory to the hosts.
While in Holland the College group were fortunate to visit nearby Den Bosch to watch the England and Dutch men’s U21 teams in action.
The whole trip was a great success, with the girls’ enthusiasm and superb behaviour regularly commented upon by opponents and spectators
