Headmaster’s Commendations March 2016
The Headmaster is pleased to commend Lucy Brown, Year 13 Arnold, for her sterling work to persuade the Chamber Choir, the Decibelles and the Swing Band to perform at a Charity Concert at Claverham Community College, organised by her younger sister who is a pupil there, in aid of Believe In You. It was a remarkable achievement to co-ordinate the performers, to obtain the support of staff to transport 30 pupils to Battle for the event and a wonderful opportunity for Eastbourne College to contribute to such a worthy cause and to reach out and help others in the wider community.
Rosie Kremer, Year 11 Watt, for a thoroughly researched and beautifully presented persuasive study of two contrasting artists; Johannes Vermeer and Nathan Ford. The level of work submitted is over and above that to be expected at GCSE and sets an excellent example for others to aspire to.
