General Bashall visit
On Tuesday 24 May Lieutenant General James Bashall, Commander Home Command, visited Eastbourne College to gain a detailed view of how the Combined Cadet Force operates. General Bashall is one of the most senior officers in the British Army and is responsible for, amongst other things, the delivery of the army cadet experience.
During his visit to the College General Bashall enjoyed lunch with Headmaster Simon Davies and the Head of Ratton Academy Trust Huxley Knox-Macaulay before being briefed by adult volunteers from Eastbourne College, Ratton Academy and the John Wallis Academy, Ashford.
A number of Ratton pupils are members of the Eastbourne College CCF as part of the Cadet Partnering model.
