Equestrian National Champions
The College’s equestrian team travelled to Buckingham for the national finals which took place from Friday to Sunday. Having qualified at various events throughout the year, they were competing in a variety of finals. The team consisted of Imogen Carr, Lauren Carr, Nick Crowther, Amelia Dipper, Serena Flower, Callum Hynes, Rosie Kelly, Charlie Pincus, India Piper-Dadswell, Liv Reeves, Will Reeves and Alex Williams. The winds of storm Brian did not deter our riders, and Eastbourne’s white team (Serena Flower, Charlie Pincus, India Piper-Dadswell and Will Reeves) became national champions in the 90cm jumping-with-style competition from a hugely competitive field of 40 teams from around the UK.
Further success followed in the 90cm showjumping when Eastbourne’s blue team (Imogen Carr, Nick Crowther, Serena Flower, and Charlie Pincus) took second place out of 50 teams, finishing as reserve champions and silver medal. The 1m jumping with style saw the team of Imogen Carr, Serena Flower, India Piper-Dadswell and Will Reeves finish fourth out of 31. All team members were instrumental in making sure the team qualified for the national finals, and they each jumped impressive rounds, greatly contributing to the team success.
