UK Linguistics Olympiad certified
Two College pupils took part in the UK Linguistics Olympiad (UKLO) this year. The UK arm of the International Linguistics Olympiad movement, with roots dating back to 1965 in Russia, sees thousands of entries each year from hundreds of schools.
Julie Sun (Year 10) was awarded a bronze certificate at intermediate level, and Joshua Moreton (Lower Sixth) was awarded a bronze certificate at advanced level. The UKLO is a national competition which requires competitors to solve linguistic data problems. The problems are extremely academically challenging and our congratulations go to Julie and Joshua for their success.
