Eastbourne College Brings Festive Cheer to Local Communities

This holiday season, Eastbourne College pupils have been visiting local communities to spread some festive cheer through music and song.

On December 11th, the Eastbourne College Jazz Band visited St Wilfrid’s Hospice to provide a lively soundtrack for the holiday season. The performance, held in The Street, was enjoyed by visitors as they had their Christmas dinners from the café, with the band’s festive tunes setting the perfect atmosphere. It was a wonderful way to bring some seasonal joy to the hospice, and the music truly helped get everyone into the holiday spirit.

At the beginning of the month, a group of pupils from Watt House visited The Chaseley Trust. The pupils performed a range of songs, from traditional carols to the ever-popular Barry Manilow hits, which are a favourite among Chaseley residents. The performance brought smiles and laughter to everyone, creating a festive atmosphere and helping to kick off the Christmas celebrations in style. The residents, many of whom joined in with the singing, were clearly enjoying the moment, and the pupils’ energy and enthusiasm were contagious.

“We love having volunteers visit,” said a representative from The Chaseley Trust. “The pupils’ performance brought so much joy, and it was a lovely way to celebrate the season with our residents.”
