Draw Me In exhibition
Lower Sixth art scholars worked in collaboration to create a piece of work for the ‘Draw Me In’ schools exhibition at the adjacent Towner Gallery. Using the work of artists from the Towner collection for initial inspiration, the pupils worked together exploring the theme ‘Identity: the same but different.’
The works in the collection that have been used for inspiration for 2019’s Draw Me In exhibition have all been created by female artists. They include painting and prints of landscapes and portraits, sound installations, photographs and sculptures.
College pupils Erin, Imo, Olivia and Sasha experimented with a variety of media producing an exquisite life-size final piece which is on show at the Towner Gallery until 2 June. As neighbours of the Towner Gallery, it is wonderful to be able to work with them to enrich our pupils’ development through their learning programme, and to be able to showcase their work to a much wider audience.
