Drama Week
At the start of every new academic year all Year 9 pupils have the opportunity to perform on stage during their first term at the College. This year each of the ten house groups performed mini versions of classic Shakespeare plays in a variety of styles from the witty to the bizarre.
As part of the drama week, the entire year group went to the Devonshire Park Theatre to see Spitfire Solo, a touching drama about an elderly Second World War fighter pilot. The lead actor, Nicholas Collett, visited the College to talk to the Year 9 pupils and watch some of their performances.
The two evenings of Year 9 performances were terrific. Credit must also go to all the Year 12 student directors who ran rehearsals all term and nurtured their young casts through to performance.
