DofE Gold Expedition Assessment
On Saturday 13 October, 15 Upper Sixth pupils travelled to Wales to take their Gold Expedition Assessment. It was wet to start with but the clouds soon cleared up to before drying to make perfect walking conditions. The group covered 50 miles in four days whilst being self-sufficient and navigating the Brecon mountains. All pupils worked really hard and passed successfully.
On the same day, 18 Year 11 pupils travelled to the New Forest to start their first Silver practice expedition. Over the following four days they learnt to camp, cook, navigate and look after themselves.
