Chamber choir performance
On Sunday 19 March, the Eastbourne College Chamber Choir visited Ashdown House Prep School for their Choral Day, singing Mozart’s famed Requiem.
Pupils from both schools combined to impressive effect with an orchestra formed of Ashdown’s visiting music staff (including Eastbourne College's Director of Music, Dan Jordan) under the baton of Ashdown’s Director of Music, Richard Coppack. Among the soloists was Alexander Eadon, Assistant Director of Music at Eastbourne.
Pupils and audience alike thoroughly enjoyed the experience in the wonderful rural surroundings of Ashdown House's idyllic setting. It is hoped that this event will be the catalyst for further collaborative music work with both Ashdown House and other nearby prep schools.
