CCF Field Day 2013
Exercise FULL STOP is designed to test Year 10 cadets from all three services in teamwork, leadership and a range of campcraft, field craft and initiative skills.
The eighteen hour exercise is designed to be gruelling but fun and cadets know a lot more about themselves by the end of it. Year 12 NCOs lead each section of between ten and fourteen cadets and were themselves tested in these challenging roles. The cadets pitched their bashas in designated harbour areas, cooked a BBQ supper and embarked on night patrols aimed at collecting information from an objective without being detected.
An early start on day two saw cadets fed a hearty breakfast brought out from the College Dining Hall and the remainder of the exercise was spent moving between six stands where sections were tested on all the above mentioned skills.
The winning section this year was section 3.2, commanded by Cpl Rachel Williams, Year 12, Watt. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
