Bugs and beasties
On Thursday 3 October the College was delighted to host a ceramics workshop for ten young artists from Saint Ronan’s Prep School, Hawkhurst.
The boys and girls travelled to Eastbourne early in the day to visit the renowned Towner Art Gallery that stands adjacent to the College site. Following lunch in the College Dining Room they had an opportunity to visit either a day or boarding house before taking part in an entertaining drama workshop led by MrsSalway, Head of Creative ArtsDevelopment and three senior drama pupils.
The highlight of the day was the ceramics workshop that took place in the College Art Department. Guided by Mrs Harriott, Head of Art at the College, the Saint Ronan’s pupils kneaded, cut and shaped clay to create an array of impressive bugs and insects. They all had a wonderful, if exhausting, day.
