British Biology Olympiad 2018
Last week six pupils took part in the British Biology Olympiad. The BBO challenges and stimulates students with an interest in biology to expand their talents, and enables students to demonstrate their knowledge and to be suitably rewarded with publicly recognised certificates and medals. The competition consisted of two multiple choice papers, and top scoring students will be offered the opportunity to attend an award ceremony in London. The BBO is also the first stage in selecting a team to represent the UK at the International Biology Olympiad 2018 in Tehran, with over sixty countries taking part.
All Eastbourne College pupils gained an award. Congratulations to Elias Brown who is in the top seven percent of candidates and gained a Gold Award.
