Biology Olympiad
Toby Brooks, Year 13 Craig, has become the first Eastbourne College pupil to progress beyond round two of the Royal Society of Biology's British Olympiad. This is a fantastic achievement and particularly impressive as biology is Toby's fifth A level subject.
This year 7200 pupils completed the first round of this national competition, with only the top 150 invited to sit the round two paper.
The top 16 pupils from round two are invited to the finals of the competition at Warwick University over four days in the Easter holiday. They will test their practical skills and sit another theory paper.
The top four will then be chosen to represent Great Britain in the International Biology Olympiad in Vietnam in July.
