Award-winning film
On Tuesday 4 October the College welcomed a film team from BBC South East.They were visiting to capture a short piece for regional news about a film that has just won a national award.
The short award-winning film covers the story of a musical band composed of young adults with learning disabilities as part of the Arts Connect music course that has been running at the Birley Centre since early 2014.
The College supported the project by providing rehearsal space, recording facilities and technical support. Year 13 pupil, Oliver Barwell was delighted to be given the opportunity to assist the BBC film cameraman for his Gold Arts Award and actually filmed the final two interviews himself.
