St Wilfrid’s lunch 2017
On Friday 19 May Eastbourne College pupils provided musical entertainment and acted as waiters at the annual fund-raising lunch for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
The College Jazz Band performed during the lunch in the large marquee, with Year 12 pupil Bibi Convert on lead vocals. The College Concert Band entertained the 270 guests throughout the event.
Each of the thirteen pupils acting as waiters had previously taken part in an afternoon of training and they enjoyed putting their new skills into practice alongside pupils from other schools in the Eastbourne Schools Partnership.
The lunch raised over £50,000 – equivalent to the salaries of two qualified nurses.
