Unparalleled hockey success
As the 2016/2017 hockey seasons draw to a close, the Eastbourne College teams have once again excelled at county level.
The College has been represented in an incredible nine out of ten final matches, winning three titles.
This year's U19 girls victory was the College’s 100th Sussex hockey title since the Sussex Schools Cup competitions began in 1989 for boys and 1991 for girls. In this time there have been 202 finals of which Eastbourne has been in 124!
In the last three years Eastbourne girls hockey teams have played in 14 out of 15 Sussex finals winning nine titles and over the same period, Eastbourne boys teams have played in 10 out of 15 Sussex finals winning four titles.
Being a part of so many Sussex finals and winning so many titles has enabled Eastbourne teams to compete and play in regional and national finals more than any other Sussex school.
