Headmaster completes challenge
Over the first weekend of the half-term holiday Headmaster Simon Davies battled against appalling weather conditions to complete his 150 mile unsupported cycle ride from Dieppe to Paris. He took on this sponsored challenge to raise funds for Project 150.
Due to extremely heavy rain which made some of the off-road paths impassable on the Sunday, he actually travelled over 180 miles in a total of 17 hours of cycling.
Simon Davies would like to thank the 169 families and individuals who have sponsored his cycle challenge from Dieppe to Paris so date. Donations currently total almost £10,000 which translates to nearly £12,000 when Gift Aid is included.
Many teachers have been identified as having played a transformational role in the lives of the donors. Their names will be recorded for posterity in Project 150 in a room entitled 'The Unknown Teacher'.
He would also like to thank Jura Cycles who kindly provided him with a personalised cycling jersey for his journey.
