National Fives Championships
On Sunday 17 April, Year 10 pupils Anna Hasell and Ella Hemming travelled to Marlborough College to compete in their first National Schools Girls Fives Championships.
In the doubles group-stage they won two out of three matches, but lost in the semi-final against Malvern College. They went on to play in the plate competition and made it through to the final where they narrowly missed out 8–11 to Marlborough College.
In the singles, both Anna and Ella lost in the first round but went through to the plate before retiring for the day.
Both girls thoroughly enjoyed the event and it was pleasing to see how much they improved after each game. Their parents were equally impressed by the game and commented on how enjoyable it was to watch.
