ES Medical Society meeting
The annual Eastbournian Medical Society meeting took place at the Royal College of Surgeons on Saturday 12 March.
The Eastbournian Society was pleased to welcome 11 current College pupils to the Royal College of Surgeons in Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, where they were able to meet Old Eastbournians working within the medical profession.
Current parent Scarlett McNally, a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Eastbourne District General Hospital and a Council Member of the RCS, gave a presentation entitled 'Surgical thinking: simplicity and streamlining'. She also spoke about dementia, diabetes and failure of the NHS.
Following the networking session, the attendees had a chance to take a private tour of the Hunterian Museum, followed by a buffet lunch.
