Tennis at Eton
At the end of June, a squad of ten boys and girls travelled to Eton College to participate in the Independent Schools Tennis Tournament. They competed in the various U15 and U19 events over the three-day tournament.
All of the Eastbourne College players produced some excellent performances and won matches. Particular highlights were Prue Barnes and Katie McIntyre winning their group in the U15 girls category and Joe McIntyre and James Young winning ten out of 13 sets on their way to the final of the U15 boys consolation event.
This was a very pleasing performance by College tennis players who train all year round at the Eastbourne Indoor Tennis Park, on numerous College courts and on the world-renowned grass courts at Devonshire Park International Tennis Centre.
