D of E Silver Awards
Over the Easter break five Year 11 pupils – Amelia Allen, Anna Cope, Celia Davies, Salwa Owasil and Lara Whitmore – successfully passed their Duke of Edinburgh’s Silver Awards expedition in the New Forest.
This part of the award assesses their ability to camp and navigate over three days. It particularly focuses on their team-work and leadership skills plus their ability to motivate each other.
The girls worked hard throughout the expedition and achieved very high standards of performance. They are now ready to progress to the Gold Award in Year 12.
