Top of the Bench
On Tuesday 22 January the College hosted the local round of the Royal Society Of Chemistry’s annual ‘Top of the Bench’ competition.
The College welcomed ten schools – Ardingly College, Battle Abbey School, Brighton College, Chichester High School for Boys, Chichester High School for Girls, Hailsham Community College, Moira House School, St Richard’s School, Woldingham School and an Eastbourne College team. Each team comprised four participants from Years 9, 10 and 11.
The results for the round were:
1st place – Ardingly College
2nd place – Brighton College
3rd place – Eastbourne College
The College team members were Elias Brown and Katinka Morris (Year 9), Katya Goodwin (Year 10) and Henry Blythe (Year 11).
This round was one of several that took place across the Downland Region (Surrey and Sussex). Eastbourne College finished joint seventh of the 36 teams who took part across the region.
