Sixth Form quiz success
A team of four College pupils recently triumphed in this year’s Sixth Form Quiz, organised annually by the Rotary Club of Beachy Head.
In an enjoyable contest, the College team led from the second round, beating teams from Park College, Bede’s and Moira House. Jess Barnes, Jenni Hreben, Ed Lewis and Henry Miller represented the College admirably.
In each of the seven rounds the teams took it in turns to answer batches of four themed questions. The topics were music, stage and screen, science and technology, English literature, people and places, food and drink and current affairs.
Whilst the College team’s strongest round was science and technology, it was the team members’ knowledge of current affairs that finally gave them the edge over their competitors.
Eastbourne College will host next year’s event.
