Glyndebourne Update
The partnership between the College and Glyndebourne Opera continues to go from strength to strength. During the Michaelmas term, in addition to to providing a permanent a home for the Glyndebourne Young Voices programme, the College also premiered the newly commissioned Youth Opera,‘Lovers Walk’, in the Birley Centre in October.
The College has also hosted the auditions for ‘Imago’ the new Community Opera which premieres on the Glyndebourne main stage in March. Bethany Stephens, Year 11 Blackwater, and Fergus Piper, Year 10 Craig, have both been successful in gaining roles in this production and Tianyu Wang, Year 10 Watt, has successfully auditioned for the orchestra – huge congratulations to them.
There are a number of exciting projects and collaborations planned for the coming year.
