New flexible Saturday co-curricular programme
Saturday morning was certainly fun, friendly and flexible as the new co-curricular activity sessions swung into action. With over 60 per cent of the school fully engaged in the morning programme it was a truly impressive start.
Fuelled with a delicious brunch before they started, pupils had over 53 activities on offer ranging from the academic to developing a skill. For example, a literary group hot footed it to the annual Hastings Literary Festival and took part in a dystopian literature discussion while closer to home activities included Oxbridge French, Maths drop in, Biology extension group, Photography support for all, a Personal Statement clinic, mountain biking, squash, arts, drama, sailing and meditation to name just a few. After lunch a large proportion of the school were engaged in training games for hockey and rugby.
