History and Politics trip to Washington DC
Twenty-five history and politics pupils and four staff are currently out in Washington DC exploring the political history of America. The group have enjoyed four days so far in the capital city, tracking the country’s history through Washington’s iconic monuments, accompanied by the cherry blossom in peak bloom. They have visited Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court, and yesterday they took a trip out of the city to the civil war battlefield site of Gettysburg and the site of an attempted slave uprising at Harper’s Ferry.
